Objective:
Leadership Skiatook is designed to give up and coming leaders in our community an opportunity to develop and hone their leadership skills, while learning more about their community and its many resources and opportunities. Graduates will have a more defined grasp of leadership and team- building skills, and also an understanding of our community and its needs. Students take what they’ve learned back to the workplace for a more productive and valuable contribution to their employer and to Skiatook, OK as a whole.
Programming has been strategically developed with community and leadership development in mind.
Benefits of the Program:
You will grow on a personal level. Through individual participation and group dynamics, participants will discover their leadership potential and gain new insights into themselves as individuals.
You will learn. We can promise that every participant will increase his/her knowledge of the Skiatook community. Leadership Skiatook will engage you in new ideas and perspectives.
You will meet new business and community leaders. You will get to know your classmates and form lifelong friendships and community partners. You will also have to opportunities to interact with dignitaries from around our city, region and state.
You will gain new perspectives. You will hear perspectives that are deeply felt, strongly supported, and perhaps different from your own.
You will strengthen and boost your dedication to helping the community. As a result of Leadership Skiatook, you will be considerably more effective in your business and community work.
Purpose:
This program’s purpose is to:
Identify community leaders of diverse backgrounds
Develop their potential and desire to accept civic responsibilies and leadership roles
Expose community leaders to the problems and opportunities that face Skiatook
Build a realistic understanding of leadership in today’s complex society
Open a dialgogue among emerging and current community leaders
Acquaint leaders with the processes, programs, opportunities and challenges for individual involvement in Skiatook
Program Commitment:
Candidates must want to participate in Leadership Skiatook.
All participants are incredibly busy people from all walks of life. Your application indicates your commitment to attend and participate in all classes.
Candidates must be able to participate. Attendance is mandatory.
Participants must attend each session in its entirety. You may miss no more than one session during the year to successfully complete the program. This program is non-refundable. Accepted candidates s are required to have their manager sign off on their program participation.

Total tuition is $800.00 and open to Skiatook Chamber Members only. Tuition is non-refundable.

Sponsor an entire class and have your logo displayed in every class session on the programs, on the banner that is set up during every session and in general marketing. A Thank You on social media and e-newsletter after each session and the opportunity to speak during the orientation or graduation.
